How we make money

Updated

One source: a Starlink referral link. The “Check coverage & plans” button in the header, the boxes on guides, news and county lookups, and links to Starlink’s plan and map pages use the site owner’s own Starlink referral link. If you order through one, Starlink may give the owner a referral reward. Your price, and any demand surcharge, is the same as ordering any other way. No ads, no sponsors.

How the referral link works here

  • Every referral link is labeled: the header button says “Referral link · US only”, and each box has a disclosure right next to the links.
  • Links go through a short redirect on this site (/go/starlink/…) to starlink.com, so the link itself is never copied into pages.
  • Starlink service is ordered for US service addresses only on this site.
  • The referral link never changes what a county shows. Reports are published by the same thresholds whatever they say, and links to Starlink’s help articles we cite stay plain.
  • Trust and legal pages (this one, about, privacy, terms, editorial policy, corrections, contact) carry no referral boxes.

Who else the owner runs

The same owner runs other independent sites about Starlink, including a cost calculator site. Some of those sites use a Starlink referral link. If you order through one, you may get a free month and the owner may receive a referral reward from SpaceX. That never affects what this site publishes.

What could change, and the rules if it does

  • Display ads: possibly, once traffic justifies it. Never on the report form or the method page.
  • Sponsors: only non-SpaceX, non-ISP brands, clearly labeled, with no influence on data.

Any change will be dated on this page.
