Reports you submit
We store state, county, an optional 3-digit ZIP prefix, the event and checkout result, plan type, kit type, month, optional speed-test numbers, and the day we received the report. There is no free-text field. Reports are kept as long as the dataset exists and are published only as county totals and in the open CSV files, which contain no individual reports.
What we never collect
Street address, precise location, name, email, phone, account number or screenshots. No IP address or browser details are stored with a report.
Rate limiting
To prevent flooding, the server stores a one-way hash of a secret value, the date and your IP address for 24 hours, then it is deleted automatically. It is kept separate from reports.
Analytics
We record a few anonymous events (for example "a county was looked up", with only the state code): the event name, the page path and one coarse label, never anything you type. No ad pixels.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which pages help. It loads Google's gtag.js script from googletagmanager.com and sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_…, kept up to 2 years) so a returning browser can be recognized. Google receives the page address, the referring page, device and browser details, and an approximate location derived from your IP address (Google says Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses). The anonymous events above are also sent to Google Analytics, with the same one coarse label.
- Google signals and ad personalization are turned off: no advertising features, no remarketing. We don't sell the data.
- Event data is kept for 14 months.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all.

Sharing
We don't sell or share personal information. Nothing is sent to SpaceX or Starlink. Page-view and event data goes to Google Analytics as described above.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13.

Because we don't store identifying information with reports, we usually can't find "your" report. For questions, see the contact page.
